NCLive offers access to tens of thousands of non-fiction and classic fiction titles. NCLive ebooks are read in a browser window so they work best on a computer or tablet device and will not work with Kindles and some other ereaders.

Each site has its own download procedures but most of them work with any ebook reader. Some may require special apps. All of these sites offer free ebooks but some of them sell books as well.

All you need to get started is a valid library card, an internet connection via PC, Mac® or select mobile devices, and a registered Kindle device or reading app such as.

How to borrow an eBook for your Kindle
1. Using a computer: Click on e-iNC Library icon on BML’s homepage at www.braswell-library.org
2. Browse and find a book that is available for Kindle
3. Click on Add to eBookbag
A. in My eBookBag page, click on Proceed to Checkout
B. select your library; Braswell Memorial Library then type in your library card number
C. on Checkout page, click on Confirm Checkout
D. Click the Get for Kindle button. This opens the Amazon.com website. You may be required to sign in with your Amazon.com account if you are not already logged in.
4. If necessary, select a Kindle device or Kindle reading app. Click the Get Library Book button and sync your device or app to download the book, choose to send it to your device via USB, or connect to a Wi-Fi network.
5. An active Wi-Fi connection is required for wireless delivery to a Kindle device. You will need to establish a connection with a local Wi-Fi network: On your Kindle, go to Menu, Settings, and Wi-Fi Settings to connect to a network. Amazon’s Whispernet connection will NOT work with library eBooks. If you are in Braswell Memorial Library you will need to log onto the BML Wi-Fi network.

If your Kindle is not Wi-Fi capable or you do not have an active Wi-Fi connection, read Amazon's instructions for transferring files via USB.
Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees!
iPad and iPod
What You Need
- An internet connection via select iPad® mobile devices.
- A valid library card
- Free, required software available at your library’s OverDrive website.

How It Works
Step 1: Browse
1. Browse your BML’s website at www.braswell-library.org click on e-iNC Library icon
2. select your library; Braswell Memorial Library then type in your library card number
3. Search by title, subject, author, or format.
4. click on the title you want to Checkout
Step 2: Checkout
1. On My eBookBag page, click on Proceed to Checkout
2. Add selection to your eBookBag. Note: if a title is not available, you may place a hold. You’ll receive an email when the title is available.
3. Click on Proceed to Checkout link.
Step 3: Download…enjoy!
1. Click Download to enjoy your title.
2. Once Downloaded, enjoy on a variety of iPad® devices.
Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees!
Android
