Library Friends

The Friends of Braswell Memorial Public Library, Inc. is a support group devoted to placing Braswell Memorial Library among the top libraries in North Carolina. The Friends provide:

• funds to be used for special projects
• funds to be used for purchase of library materials
• sponsorship of special programs for children and adults
• volunteer assistance at library events and programs
• support of annual staff recognition
• sponsorship of special events to raise monies to promote, encourage, and improve library services.

Membership opportunities include:

• individual ($15)
• family ($24-$49)
• business ($50-$99)
• benefactor ($100+).

Plus, the Friends would like to encourage members to add in an additional contribution which can help provide the following:

• $25 will purchase one new book for Braswell Memorial Library collection
• $100 will purchase four new books for Braswell Memorial Library collection
• or, any amount given for purchase of materials or in support of a Friends effort.

For our youngest Friends, a child’s membership is available to children ages three through twelve. Cost is $1.00 or free to any child who completes the library’s summer reading program.
